The MiamiPhotoFest International Emerging Photography Awards is an annual photography competition open to all levels of photographers, from enthusiastic hobbyists to aspiring professional photographers

Our goal is to inspire photographers to push their creative boundaries and surpass themselves photographically while creating new opportunities for discovery.  With cash prizes, Fujifilm digital imaging equipment, one-on-one portfolio reviews and worldwide gallery exhibition opportunities, MiamiPhotoFest will recognize leading talents who capture and define photographic arts around the globe and provide the resources they need to propel their careers forward creatively and professionally.

FujiFilm and MiamiPhotoFest are calling on ambitious photographers of all ages and backgrounds from across the globe to present their work to our international jury of experts from the photography and art world. We are looking for the next generation of talented photographers who are driven by their desire to excel, grow and flourish into the next stages of their careers.

All forms of photography are welcome, the judges will specifically be looking for single images and also series of up to eight images that follow a strong narrative and a solid body of work.

THE GOOD STUFF

Submissions period, December 5th 2018 - January 20th 2019 - Extended Deadline!

Open to photographers 18 years of age or older. Individuals affiliated with the Florida Photographic Foundation and MiamiPhotoFest and their immediate families are not eligible for any prizes.

File Naming & Image Specifications

Please submit the appropriate amount of images based on the fee’s paid. Files must be .JPEG format only, edited for web in sRGB color space - 2,000 pixels on the longest side and no larger than 10 MB. Please do NOT include borders or watermarks.

File name must be as follows, First name, underscore and Last name, underscore and image number in sequence. Registration name and image file name must be the same.  Example, ”John Smith"=  John_Smith_1.JPEG  /  John_Smith_2.JPEG

Finalists will be required to submit a high resolution file for printing purposes. All production costs associated with the exhibition will be covered by the Florida Photographic Foundation and MiamiPhotoFest.

The judges will select 20 finalists per Singles category including a first, second and third prize and 3 finalists per Series category including a first and second prize. The winners and finalists will be notified of their status no later than February 1st, 2019.

The Florida Photographic Foundation and MiamiPhotoFest will notify finalists and winners via the contact information provided at the time of entry; the Florida Photographic Foundation and MiamiPhotoFest may disqualify anyone who fails to respond to the notification within five business days.

Entry deadline: All entries must be received by 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time on January 13th, 2019.

**Free Workshop of choice requires PARTICIPANT to travel to Miami during Miami photo fest. the winning prize DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY EXPENSES to or from Miami LIKE AIRFARE, HOTEL OR GROUND TRANSPORTATION. Portfolio reviews can be in person during miami photo fest or via skype on a scheduled date during the FESTIVAL.

The Florida Photographic Foundation and MiamiPhotoFest’s revenue from the submission fees goes to supporting the Florida Photographic Foundation and Miami Photo Fest programming, including the annual Miami Photo Fest International Photography Awards, Miami Photo Fest programs, workshops, portfolio reviews and many other photography events and exhibitions throughout the year.
