Volunteer Opportunities


Develop your talent and opt to meet new friends while volunteering at MiamiPhotoFest 2019. Volunteers help our event take place and support the arts both locally and internationally. Dedicated and passionate volunteers are at the heart and soul of our cause.


Join the Florida Photographic Foundation and the MiamiPhotoFest 2019 team this February 22nd through March 3rd.

There’s a lot happening to make our event a reality, and we truly could not do it without you. We are in search of volunteers to help with preparations leading up to the festival, as well as volunteers during the event itself. No specific experience is necessary. Must be enthusiastic, we’d love to hear from you! 

Volunteers for MiamiPhotoFest 2019 can be from many different backgrounds including students, art enthusiasts, artists, staff and faculty of schools and colleges, young professionals, retirees, community groups and art organizations. Above all, no specific experience is necessary, schedules are flexible – enthusiasm is required!

Once you have submitted the form below, we’ll be in touch by the end of January with information about volunteer roles and how to sign up for shifts.

There will be two orientation sessions in early February and you can choose to attend either one. 


  • You’ll not only be interacting with people who share your interest in art and photography but you’ll get the opportunity to be up and close to the the awesome exhibitions and world most renowned photographers! Yes! You’ll you get to hang out with Bruce Gilden himself…

  • As a volunteer you'll receive an inaugural MiamiPhotoFest t-shirt, plus a Food & Beverage Voucher per shift to redeem from one of our Miami Design District partner restaurants.

  • All Volunteers will receive free access to all events (excluding workshops)

  • Student Volunteers also receive community service hours for their volunteer time.

  • Your name on our MiamiPhotoFest 2019 volunteer webpage as a thank you for helping to bring MiamiPhotoFest to life.


Volunteers are expected to work a shift of approximately 3-6 hours a day depending on your schedule. Always remembering that your commitment to MiamiPhotoFest and it’s scheduled dates is of the utmost importance.


GENERAL VOLUNTEERS: Man the entrances, exhibitions and booths of MiamiPhotoFest.

WORKSHOP  VOLUNTEERS: The MiamiPhotoFest workshops require dedicated tech savvy individuals with a passion to learn.
